Toddy we made donuts for Carlos's birthday, you enjoyed playing in the flour. You were covered in it! Cooking is a fun thing I helped my mommy do and plan for you to help me.

Snow!

We don't get much snow here, but when we do, it's exciting! First thing we did this morning was bundle up to go outside to check it out, it's your first experience with snow.

Restless.

You had a late albeit short nap today and we went to bed early. You slept for a short time an woke up restless. Mommy has school in the morning so we need to get some good rest. You get to hang out with daddy while mommy is in school again, I think you sense the change and that's why you can't sleep. It's ok sweety, rest your eyes, tomorrow will be a good day.

Pee pee in the potty!

Many babies in America don't start using the potty until they're older than you. Some families in America and in many countries do though, the mommies and daddies help the baby learn to use the potty very early so they don't have to wear diapers.

Mommy decided to start helping you learn. I can tell usually when you need to poop so I started sitting you on the toilet, you are getting pretty good at pooping into the toilet and have had a few days without poop in your diaper. It's harder for mommy to tell when you need to pee but we occasionally go in and you sit on the toilet and sometimes you go, sometimes you don't. You seem to understand what toilets are for and I can tell you intentionally poop or pee because you're on the potty rather than it being just luck.

You will still wear diapers for awhile, but when possible, we will try to use a toilet instead.

Kenzie at the Rosebowl

The university of Oregon Ducks team won the Rosebowl this year! We had a big party to show the game. Uncle Doug and Aunt Crystal's niece Kenzie came to watch with uncle Doug and had a great time playing with you!

Icky Tummy

An icky stomach bug has been going around, some friends had it, grandma had it and today, both you and grandpa have been sick. We laid down for an early nap because you were a little grumpy and mama was tired due to allergies and you nursed almost to sleep when you threw up. Daddy came to our rescue and cleaned off the bed after you were done. Daddy made the bed again with a towel to lay on and we went back to nap. When you woke up, you threw up again and again all afternoon. You had a little milky and kept getting sick. You seemed happy and normal afterwards though, so I wasn't too worried. The doctors office gave Mommy a recipe for special water to help you stay hydrated. You threw it up too but got slowly better all evening and napped some more. You were enjoying teasing Annie and exploring grandmas house while you were feeling good though. We went to bed after a few hours with no puke and you nursed to sleep. After a few hours, you woke up so mommy took you to potty and when we got back you had a little water and threw it up. Mommy and Daddy are sad and scared you're sick, we want you feeling better! You're sleeping now, I hope you wake up healthy in the morning!

Happy New Year

We had a great time at Kathy and Jesus's party. You played with Taylor, Jazmine and Skippy. You and daddy sang along with the Rock Band game, you hogged the mic! You fell asleep about an hour before we rung in the new year and slept through all the excitement at the party.
