Getting smarter.

You found a new way to use your stacking ball dropping toy. First you tried to stick your pinwheel stick into just the bottom and top parts but figured out that if you use the middle pieces you can make a spot for the stick. You have also been learning about blowing things and seeing what happens when you blow on them. You were blowing on the ball through the little opening and seeing it move around.

Share Love

Lately, we have heard news of some very sad things that happened.

There will always be sadness in the world, but happiness is stronger than sadness, love more powerful than pain. 

When sad things happen, we must spread love. (When no sad things happen we must spread love.)

Some people did some very hurtful things. We cannot take back what they did, but we can give love to others. Perhaps those people were very sad, or very angry, or perhaps their hearts or minds were sick. We don't know why they did those things, but we know that when we love, and have compassion, and give generously, no harm will be done. Only happiness will be given. As much as you can, be loving. Be kind, and have an open heart and open eyes to see those who need. Some people feel pain, and some people don't have help. Help them. 

Give love to strangers, give love to family, give love to friends.

 If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.  Be kind anyway.

 If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.  Succeed anyway.

            What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.  Create anyway.

            If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.  Be happy anyway.

            The good you do today, will often be forgotten.  Do good anyway.

         Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.  Give your best anyway.

You somehow logged into Daddy's game. You were playing and drinking Daddy's soda when I came in to check on you!

Happy New Years

We spent the evening at Tresha's for a party, you had fun playing with your friends but asked to go home at around 11:30pm. We got home and out of the car with just a minute to spare. Mommy and Daddy kissed while I held you, still mostly asleep, on my shoulder. We went inside and I changed your diaper, which woke you up, so we let you toast with some sparkling cider in fancy champaign glasses
