I love your face. When its dark and you're sleeping, sometimes I just stare at pictures of you.

8 Owies!

You took a big fall this evening. You scraped your cheek, under your chin, got a bump on your forehead, bruises on both knees, a sore on your belly and bit your lip in two places.
Mommy was so scared and sad. You were upset for a few minutes while we looked at your tongue, it was bleeding. We got you a piece of ice to lick, which helped, and Curious George did something funny so you got happy. You had a lime Popsicle and felt better by the end of the show. Now that you had calmed down I took you in to examine you and found most the other owies. Later you complained about your knees and a bruise showed up on one.
Please don't do that again.

You got to brush your own teeth so mommy didn't accidentally hurt your sores. This made you happy.

Mother's Day

We spent today with Daddy's mom Grandma, Mommy's mom Grammie, Great Grandma Dorothy and lots of other family. You had a lot of fun on the trampoline and swing set with Sophia and Aurora.
Mommy enjoyed spending the day with you.

"Cheese pahcorn in here"

That's what you said to me with your finger in your nose. Yes, you're definitely a toddler.
We tried a bunch of at home tricks to get the kernel out safely but it wouldn't budge. We took you to the ER. On the way I explained that we were going to the doctor so the doctor could help you. There, you got signed in and a medical bracelet on. The triage nurse said to try to cover your mouth with ours and pinch your other nostril and blow, something I had tried at home. Daddy tried this time and it came right out! We were very happy it came out so easily! On the way home you kept saying "doctor helped me" I think you thought the ER was "the doctor" and that it was what helped, and not Daddy blowing in your mouth. I told you the nurse told Daddy how to help you and that Daddy helped you.
We talked about how food goes in your mouth, nothing goes in your nose.

Helping with Laundry

You were very thorough with those clothes pins. You've only recently been able to squeeze those clips enough to work them. That diaper sure isn't going anywhere!

Impromptu Park Visit

Daddy had an appointment down the road from Minto Brown Park so he dropped us off to enjoy the sunshine. After hanging around and sliding, we took our shoes off and splashed in the water. You signed "water".

Watching "Eeo"

You've enjoyed looking at Leo and telling us when he's sleeping or when he's "ungry". You don't like the idea of touching him yet though.
