Mommy: or a napkin. Then he'll want to look in the mirror to make sure he doesn't have a...

E: milk mustache! 

Mommy: when he looks in the mirror he might notice his hair needs a... 

E: brush?

Mommy: a trim. So he'll probably ask for a pair of nail scissors. 

(Then the mouse sweeps up the hair and the rest of the house and mops and then...) 

Mommy: when he's done he'll probably ask to take a...

E: bath! 

(Then the mouse gets a bed ready for a nap and hears a story and wants to draw a picture)

Mommy: he'll ask for paper and...

E: markers and he'll have to put the lid back on so they don't dry up. 

Mommy: or crayons. 

(The mouse draws a picture and needs a pen to sign his name and then want to hang it on the fridge) 

Mommy: which means he'll need..

E: magnets. 

Mommy: or scotch tape. He'll hang his drawing and stand back to look at it. Looking at the refrigerator will remind him that...

E: I don't know! 

Mommy: he's thirsty. So, he'll ask for a glass of...

E: milk! 

Mommy: and chances are if he asks for a glass of milk...

E: he's thirsty.

Mommy: he will want a cookie to go with it.

OMSI and your first 3D movie

We had a fun day at OMSI today. You did a lot of exploring. You had great fun in the discovery room playing in the sand and water tables and with silly putty.
We saw a really great movie in the Omnimax theater about the Monarch Butterfly migration. The 3D made it look like butterflies were fluttering all over. You reached out trying to catch them. You took your 3D glasses off when you got scared from the 3D Cow and combine tractor though.

Snow?

Growing up in Salem, even the tiniest bit of snow was very exciting for me, we rarely got even a couple inches. The past few years we have been getting more and more snow, and living out in the country where we are we tend to get more than in town, I still get excited for the tiniest bit of fluffy white stuff.

Today when I suggested we go outside to play in the snow (which was very light and not sticking) you decided we would make a snowman.
I had to explain that we needed a lot of snow for a snowman.
You had an idea.

We have foam letters and numbers for the bath tub and stuck them to the wall in order during bath tonight. I suggested you say the alphabet for me as we point to each letter.
"A, B, C, letter for Daddy, E, F, ?oh Grandma, H is in Happy pig day, line, j for Jackson, what's that?, upside down p, letter for daddy's name, ?, circle, P, G, R, S, T, Up, (silent- does peace sign with fingers), letter for women's bathroom, X, missing letter, ..... oh and Z for Zebra!"

Note to self: Must find the Y, talk more about L for Lauritsen, and introduce the K and N more.
