Mommy really missed your daddy while he was gone. I think you missed him too. We survived being away from him though and we didn't get sad. We know how much he loves us and we talked about him a lot. When we called him last night you got upset at first. We missed his voice. You calmed down though and we were able to talk for a few minutes. That simple phone call made mommy miss daddy a bit more. Especially to hear him say how much he missed us.
Daddy told me to give you kisses from him, when I did, I kissed your little cheeks and you burped in my face. It was hilarious. When I told daddy, he said "it figures".
You really fought sleep tonight, we told you that our entire family will be together still in the morning, and we love you and you didn't have to stay awake to spend time with daddy. Finally you rested your little head on my shoulder and fell asleep.
